Medicare Supplemental Insurance plans can help you pay for medical costs that may not be covered by Medicare.

With Medicare Parts A and B, you’re required to pay deductibles and coinsurance for Medicare-provided services. Medicare Supplement plans are designed to help pay for costs like deductibles, co-payments and coinsurance that you would typically pay out of your own pocket. Since 2001, my insurance business has grown through serving senior citizens with their medical coverage (Medicare supplemental insurance) while offering other products to a wide range of clients. I enjoy working with my clients and providing them with the best possible coverage. In fact, I error in enjoying it too much and find myself forming relationships beyond being a customer or client. What makes the insurance industry so special is people use “you” because of what you can do for them. No single agent can offer a person a better price than any other agent for the same product because pricing is not set by the agent. Meaning, for me to earn someone’s business, I have to offer something else than price. That something else is service. You’re doing the right thing when people refer your services to others.

No good man is made on his own and which is certainly true for me. I am fortunate enough to have fallen in love at first sight twice in my life. I had 41 years of marriage to my wife before I became a widower after a 6-year battle with not one, but three life threatening diseases, something I would not wish on anyone. Two weeks before my wife passed she told me I needed to remarry and of course I said “that would never happen”. She just smiled.

It did happen. Today I am married to Janet, which was love at first sight. We were married 2016 and live in Plano Texas. Oddly, Janet made a career change in her life about the same time I did. She too was in the information technology field and made the move into healthcare as a CT Tech.

My insurance practice has paybacks that until my late wife became ill, I did not realize how much it could return to me as an agent. Through the difficult time of being a 24/7 caregiver for my late wife, the insurance business allowed me to be there for her and still able to maintain a living and to grow my business.
​
I have a dog, a standard poodle named Sterling. I got this dog to help with my late wife and was training the pup to be a service dog to assist her. After her passing, he was given his freedom and his services as a service dog ceased. He is the best dog in the world and the easiest to train. Sterling was instrumental in cementing my relationship with Janet since she too, had a standard poodle that months before we met, had passed due to an illness. Crazy as it may seem, Sterling has a middle name which is Morgan. Sterling happens to be my grandsons middle name and Morgan is my granddaughters middle name. His official color is silver, making his name of Sterling, a perfect fit and not wanting to show favoritism to one grandchild over the other, Morgan became his middle name.

I enjoy helping people and over the years have been on mission trips to numerous countries. One of my goals is to help build and fund a church in the country of Peru. After a recent mission trip to Peru, we discovered that a church in this country can help meet the needs of nearly 350 children that would otherwise, be lost in their society. It is amazing how something like this can have an impact on so many.
